WAPENDANAO GROUP - A group of Unga limited youths which shows a remarkable prosperity through ECLOF Loan.
Wapendanao is a solidarity group composed of five retailing clients.
The group and their business are registered in the local government authorities
in Unga Limited Sokoni 1. Almost all of them are engaged in retailing
business in sokoni and others in city center.Wapendanao has shown a remarkable
prosperity by individual members expanding their businesses and improving
their family lives after taking ECLOF loan under Jitegemee scheme.
Wapendanao is now in its third cycle of Jitegemee loan without showing any re-payment problems.
ABISAI MSAGATI
Abisai Msagati owns a shop at Unga limited sokoni 1 area with a working capital of more than a million Tanzania shillings. “I started my shop early 2005 and started with a small capital of less than five hundred thousands Tanzania shillings. After taking ECLOF loan now my business has grown and I have been able to expand and open another shop in town whereby I sell shoes. Also I have been able to adopt and take care (including paying their school fees) of three orphanage children (Daniel, Michael and Agustaf) left by my own brother who died a year ago” says Abisai.
Rasli Gendo - From street vendor to a big shopkeeper in Unga Limited
Rasli Gendo started a small kiosk at Barakuda Street
(left sided photo) in 2004. After taking ECLOF loan he managed to expand
and open a new and big shop at Unga limited Sokoni 1 area (right sided
photo). “ECLOF loan brought me to unbelievable prosperity. I have increased
my capital and now I own a plot at Unga limited preparing myself to build
a house”, he says.

From a small kiosk at home to owning a place at the City Market
Janeth Paulo is selling vegetables and fruits at Unga limited Kiwanjani area. For years her husband was the only main supporter of their family expenses.“ECLOF loan helped me on expansion of my business from a very small kiosk here at Kiwanjani to owning a place at City Market. Nowadays I very happy because I am helping my husband on contributing school fees for our three children and assist on other household development activities”, she says.
